Business Change Support
What is “business change”?
Put simply business change is any big thing that changes the business. The business is different in some crucial way after the change, tangible either internally or externally. This may be a project that you initiate (e.g. an acquisition or a system replacement), or it may be some inevitable consequence of a change in the market (e.g. the introduction of e-commerce), legislation (e.g. the Euro) or a change dictated by groups of customers or suppliers (e.g. electronic ordering). The critical thing in all cases is that the change is managed and managed well. The risks involved in simply letting big things happen to the business are enormous and the results can be catastrophic.
What We Aim to Achieve With You
- Enable you to see the financial consequences of business change clearly and confidently, so that they can be incorporated explicitly in financial plans and budgets;
- Enable you to manage projects in such a way as to deliver clearly defined benefits successfully;
- Successfully implement any changes required in Finance or transaction processes, systems and controls;
- Enable you to see clearly what needs to be managed and how it should be managed.
How Do We Do That?
Every project is different and will require different support, however the following are things we can do to help:
- Assist with putting together an Information Memorandum if you are looking to sell part or all of the business;
- Assist with gathering information for Due Diligence and answering questions from prospective purchasers if you are looking to sell part of the business;
- Assist with analysing Due Diligence information and asking the right questions if you are looking to buy a business;
- Develop a business case for an internal project to show costs and benefits realistically to prove whether it is worth doing;
- Provide a framework for managing the realisation of benefits expected of a change project;
- Advise on project management and other elements that are key to implementing projects successfully (e.g. communication and stakeholder management).
